Vallarta Super Markets

Vallarta Supermarkets cater to the latino community.
If they don't, who will!?!

I like shopping here because they carry the products I grew up on & still use to this day. Fresh, inexpensive produce in abundance. Meat department ready to provide you cuts for when you want to make carne a la Mexicana, birria, milanesa, chicharron, picadillo, chicken fajitas, etc. They also have marinated meat & chicken for your carne asada gatherings.

Their deli offers spicy, delicious red & green salsas, pico de gallo, guacamole, chicken salad, tuna salad, shrimp & crab salad, cream fresca, cajeta & more. It's a big selection. So take a number because there are a lot of chicks waiting... with their husband & kids & probably their neighbors kids too. Was it necessary they all come?

This place also has a kitchen with hot foods if there is no time to cook along with aguas frescas. And can't forget their bakery. Pasteles & pan dulce galore!

I like buying the Vallarta brand chips. They are greasy, salty & crunchy. They hold up if you are making nachos at home. Won't break mid scoop in the guacamole.

Like I said, Vallarta Supermarkets definitely cater to the latino community. Hell, they even have a shuttle for their local shoppers who are trying to make ends meet where a car just isn't in the budget. As a place that originally started out as a tiny carniceria in Van Nuys, they understand what it's like to start from the bottom.
