Ay Papa Que Rico

The San Fernando Valley fucking looooves their pollo asado, I fucking swear! And we got a few good spots holding it down like Pop’s Chicken in North Hollywood, Pollo Gordo in Mission Hills, Don Sarape 2 does it big cada fin de semana… Fuck, even Vallarta makes a good pollo asado on the weekends.

However, another rising star to add to the mix is Ay Papa Que Rico. They’ve been around the block for sometime. With the reputation of their other 2 locations, the neighborhood had been looking forward to their grand opening here in Sun Valley & the time had finally come.

Located right on the corner of San Fernando Rd & Sunland Blvd, a delicious pollo asado al carbon can be found. A combo meal comes with rice, beans, grilled cebollitas & a jalapeño.

Their Cuban sandwich is worth ordering too! The melted cheese, ham & pork, mustard n mayo and pickles, dios mio! And order some of their platanos fritos while you're at it. Another perfect combo.

The vibe is best part though. Enjoying their delicious food in their patio with Spanish jams playing in the background. It'll have you looking at your next bite like "life is good".

It's a definite must if you ever find yourself on MY BLOCK!

Your Homegirl,
Violy
